Adjudication Unit (arbitration model)

iPowR (Initiative for Places of Worship Regulation) is a structured compliance, governance, and regulatory-support initiative designed primarily for UK Masjids and, where appropriate, related Islamic institutions such as madrasas and other places of worship.

Binding Adjudication

Where mediation does not resolve the dispute and all parties agree in writing (subject to eligibility screening), the matter may be referred to a separate iPowR Adjudication Unit operating on an arbitration-style model with binding outcomes.

The adjudication panel comprises three members: (i) a registered qualified Arbitrator or a Barrister or Solicitor with suitable dispute-resolution competence, (ii) an expert in Islamic law, and (iii) a lay member.

Parties acknowledge the intended finality of the determination, with challenges confined to narrow legal bases rather than a full merits appeal.

Legally Robust

Built on UK charity and regulatory standards, iPowR provides a structured, compliant framework that reduces legal exposure and strengthens governance across all areas of Masjid operations.

Structured Support

Our staged model combines audits, professional policies, and role-specific training to embed compliance as a routine governance function—not a reactive response to crises.

Specialist Units

From regulatory engagement and election administration to mediation and adjudication, iPowR offers targeted, independent support where governance risks are highest.
